1900 Graded $10 Liberty Gold Coin
Call for Price
The 1900 $10 Liberty Gold Coin, also known as the Coronet, owes its name to the small crown worn by Lady Liberty on the coin’s obverse. The coronet was designed by the Chief Engraver of the U.S. Mint from 1840 to 1844, and is also featured on the $2.50 and $5 Liberty Gold coins.
Lady Liberty proudly wears the coronet, featuring the word “LIBERTY,” while loose locks of hair fall from her bun onto her neck. She is surrounded by a ring of 13 stars, representing the original 13 colonies, with the coin’s date sitting below.
The coin’s reverse features a bald eagle clutching arrows and an olive branch, with wings spread and a shield upon its chest. Encircling the eagle are the words “UNITED STATES OF AMERICA,” and a small banner above the eagle stating “IN GOD WE TRUST,” added to the coin in 1866. The coin’s denomination sits below the eagle.
This $10 Liberty Gold Coin has been professionally graded between 1-70 on the Sheldon scale, with 70 being a perfect score. Criteria for grading includes luster, surface preservation, sharpness of strike, visual appeal, and coloration. After the coin is graded, it is sealed in an acrylic, tamper-proof slab, which protects the coin indefinitely. Please call for more information on grades and pricing.
